Lab2Market Validate Foundations Summer 2026
Program dates: June 1, 3, and 5, 2026
L2M Validate Foundations is a free three-day online intensive training program aimed at providing researchers (faculty, students, recent graduates) with a comprehensive understanding of the process and best practices for taking research from lab to market.
Program Overview:
Regional program: Delivered by ECU’s Shumka Centre for Creative Entrepreneurship as part of the L2M Pacific Hub co-led by UBC and SFU.
Develop your skills: For researchers across Canada (faculty, students, and recent graduates) that provides a comprehensive understanding of taking research from lab to market. Participants will learn how to identify real-world problems, develop customer discovery skills, test assumptions, and explore potential applications of their work. Upon completion, participants will possess the knowledge necessary to initiate their commercialization endeavours and strategically position their projects to capitalize on opportunities within their ecosystem.
Explore commercialization: Learn how to take the first steps and understand the commercial potential of your work from seasoned entrepreneurs and principal investigator-entrepreneurs.
Commitment: 2-hour live virtual sessions across 3 days (6 hours total)
