A Guide for Researchers and Administrators: Navigating Sponsored Research at UBC
This guide helps UBC research administrators and faculty navigate the process of formalizing sponsored research agreements through the Sponsored Research Team at Innovation UBC. We aim to provide practical guidance and answer common questions to help you move your collaboration with industry, government, nonprofit or a post-secondary institution forward.
What’s Inside
While the fundamentals of sponsored research are consistent across UBC, the practical experience of a researcher can vary depending on the nature of their work, their department’s priorities, and the types of collaborators they engage with. We work closely with Research Managers at departments and faculties across UBC to contextualize this guidance, adding relevant examples, specific workflows and local contacts that make it most useful for the researchers they support.
