Each spring, Innovation UBC and ICICS, the collaborators of HATCH Venture Builder, bring together our venture and investor community to create connections and build networks at the Investor Showcase.
This year, we are excited to announce 17 ventures that have been selected to take the stage on May 7 at UBC Robson Square. Designed to feature UBC’s investor-ready companies, the Investor Showcase highlights ventures leading their industries, demonstrating the progress being made through research and innovation.
As part of the Investor Showcase applications, ventures went through a rigorous application process. Semi-finalists were invited to pitch in front of our external Evaluation Committee comprised of:

- Flying Wolf: Use AI to empower security management and reveal business insights
- Insporos: Removing diseased and defective seeds for improved yield and efficiency.
- Memree AI Inc.: Developing the next generation digital behavioural therapy for older adults
- Minpraxis: Transforming orebody characterization to improve productivity in mining and milling.
