Policy intersects with almost every academic field. Research and knowledge production can have a greater positive impact if they are also communicated to non-academic audiences in the policy world.

The CSDI Policy Communications Clinic is a free service to help students, staff and faculty at UBC to plan and execute different forms of policy communication. CPCC offers workshops and personalizedconsulting hours to help students, faculty, and staff communicate their research effectively for policy change.

If you ask yourself any of the following questions as a member of the UBC academic community, then the CPCC is for you!

  • How can I add my voice and research to important policy debates?
  • My research is so technical. How will I communicate to important stakeholders and decision-makers, including the general public, so that it is used constructively?
  • What are the best policy communications vehicles to reach people?
  • Who can help me to write new genres and format them attractively?
