Dr. Yuval Shahar, the Josef Erteschik Chair in Information Systems Engineering and Head of the Medical Informatics Research Center at Ben Gurion University of the Negev (BGU), will share his ideas on how to leverage AI and machine learning to develop innovative medical products to improve the delivery and coordination of healthcare with real examples of products tested in clinic in the US, Europe and Israel.

About Dr. Yuval Shahar

Professor Yuval Shahar holds advanced degrees in Medicine, Computer Science, and Medical Informatics. After a decade as a researcher and then a faculty member at Stanford University, he moved to Ben Gurion University to found and head its Medical Informatics Research Center, and chaired for several years its Software and Information Systems Engineering department. He was elected in 2005 as an International Fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics (ACMI), and in 2017, as a Founding Member of the International Academy of Health Sciences Informatics (IAHSI), a part of the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA)
